Dare to Say No!

If you’re too busy to enjoy your babies and toddlers, say no to other things. This season won’t last forever. It’s so tempting to be involved in church programs or activities when we really just can’t spare the time. There will be other seasons for such things. My daughter made me a poem years ago, that hung in my kitchen as a daily reminder.
It says:
Cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow For babies grow up, as we’ve learned to our sorrow, So quiet down cobwebs and dust go to sleep, For I’m rocking my baby and babies don’t keep.

God has blessed you with an exciting mission to accomplish for Him. Our time with our children is so short. God’s Word is eternal. It stays with your child forever. When home educating, we tend to focus on curriculums and academics. We should do a responsible job with academics, but keep your mission goal before you—to raise up godly generations to love and serve the living Savior. If you accomplish that, God will one day say ,”Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” Remember, home education isn’t just about academics—it’s about Jesus. Walk through life
with your arm around your children—your eyes on Jesus. Your labors will never return void when bathed in God’s precious Word. (Josh 1:8) Make it your priority and God will give you success in everything that you do. That
includes your home schooling endeavor. God bless each one of you as you daily pour out your lives for your little ones and for your Lord.
