I first became aware of you at an early homeschool conference. I really don't remember if it was in North Carolina (where I live) or the next year in Virginia (because timing wouldn't work out for the NC conference).

I'm not sure I remember how I originally found out about the Boyers, only glad that I did. My whole family listens to Uncle Rick every night while going to sleep and we use For You They Signed. I wish I could remember how I found out about you, but I honestly can't! I hope this still counts as an entry! Thank you for the great products.

I picked up a book called "The Socialization Trap" by Rick Boyer at a homeschool used book fair in 2010. I loved the book. Then I learned that the Boyers were going to be at the Illinois homeschool convention that same year. Between the two of us, my husband and I made it to all of Rick's workshops and visited his booth several times. We visited The Learning Parent site and signed up for the blog as soon as we got home:)

I remember the time I first heard of you because I had just begun to explore God's idea of family - letting Him plan it. I only had 2 children and was courious about the ins and outs of a large family. I saw your book "Yes, they are all ours" at CBD and I really wanted it. I went to order but it was on hold. I remember being disappointed - but then I learned why it was on hold (you were taking care of Josh). When I did get the book, I remember searching Josh out on the cover and just thinking about your family and what you were dealing with.
We have 8 children now and have read most of your books - as a matter of fact I also sell your books. We love your family.

It was so long ago now, but I must have heard about you through the recommendation of someone else through a website about how much their children loved "Uncle Rick". I looked you up, but because at the time there was no sample of an Uncle Rick recording, I waited to make a purchase. Several years later, I came across your name again, and this time when I looked at your website, there was a sample! So, immediately after listening and discovering that this would be well worth our money and time to buy and listen to, I bought a number of Uncle Rick recordings. Now my children LOVE Uncle Rick and talk about the things they have learned from him quite frequently! Thanks so much, Boyer family!

I just tried to subscribe but the Post dropdown menu under the subscribe section at the bottom goes behind the "sitemeter" link. I am petty sure that is where the Yahoo option is but I can select it. When I try to select it, it takes me to the "sitemeter" website. :( I also have google but I don't really use it as much.

I read your book Creative Parenting about 7 years ago, I found it at a second hand store and had no idea who the Boyer family was but I fell in love with them through the book. I loved the book and passed it around eventually needing to buy another. I drove 4 hours last year to see you at the OCEAN confrence in Portland, OR. I like to say I bought the book before Vision Forum sold it :) Thank you for your ministry. Raymie

My husband and I first met the Boyer's at the first Homeschool conference we'd attended, before we'd even begun homeschooling. It was at the Ocean Network Homeschool Conference in Portland Oregon. I think it was in 2006 or 2007. They convinced us we could do it and why we needed to Homeschool or children. We are so thankful for their vision, passion, and encouragement.
